Huelva will enter into Phase 1 as of Monday 11th May, however Malaga and Granada will stay in phase zero for the moment. Phase 1 brings with it various changes however the timetable published on May 4th will remain the same with some possible changes allowed due to high temperatures in the South of Spain.

With phase you are allowed the following:

  • Visit family members as long as they don’t have symptoms or that they are in a nurising home.
  • Meet up with friends in groups no bigger than 10 people.
  • Shops can reopen if it is less than 400m2 and previous appointment is no longer needed.
  • Hotels can reopen however communal areas , like swimming pools remain closed.
  • Travel freely within the Province of Huelva As some items are being modified.
  • Bars can open terraces to 50% capacity

As some of the rules are being clarified and indeed changed, tomorrow Sunday I will publish a full listing of the main changes.

There has been a total of 604 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is 223,578. The number of deaths has now reached 26,478 (+179). The number of people who have recovered is 133,952 (+2,804)

Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 15,228 confirmed cases of which 6,069 have needed hospitalisation and 745 have needed intensive care. As of 21.00 yesterday there are 445 (-27) patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 102 (-6) of those are in intensive care.

In Andalusia with 8,779 (+344) patients recovered, the hospitals are as follows please note that the total of patients hospitalised includes those in intensive care

There have been 1,317 (+16) deaths in Andalusia (Malaga 270 (+4), Jaen 166 (+2), Granada 273 (+2), Cordoba 104, Cadiz 141 (+3), Seville 268 (+4), Almeria 49, Huelva 46 (+1)). In Seville there are 2,816 cases and 1,181 of those required hospitalization with 146 in intensive care. There have been 268 deaths while 1,414 have recovered.

In Huelva there are 507 cases, 7 new cases today, 219 have been hospitalized with 30 in intensive care. Sadly, one new death was reported today, bringing the total to 46 people. The good news is 296 have recovered from the virus.
