As from this Friday 15th of May anyone entering Spain from another country will be obliged to go into quarantine for 14 days. They must stay in their home or property and can only leave the property for the three following exceptions and they must wear a mask at all times during these displacements

1. To buy food or medication or basic necessities.

2. To go to health centres or to any of their services or establishments.

3. For reasons of force majeure or situation of need.

This new law will remain in place while the state of emergency continues. As all tourists were forbidden entry up Spain since lockdown began and all residents who came back to Spain during the lockdown were obliged to carry out quarantine it comes as no surprise as most areas entered Phase 1 on Monday that this law was announced today.

There has been a total of 426 new cases declared today and the total confirmed cases is 228,030. The number of deaths has now reached 26,920 (+176). The number of people who have recovered is 138,980 (+1841)

Meanwhile in Andalusia there are 15,522 confirmed cases of which 6,101 have needed hospitalisation and 745 have needed intensive care. As of 21.00 yesterday there are 395 (-11) patients confirmed with Covid-19 in hospital and 99 (+2) of those are in intensive care.

In Andalusia with 9,297 (+92) patients recovered, the hospitals are as follows please note that the total of patients hospitalised includes those in intensive care

There have been 1,326 (+4) deaths in Andalusia (Malaga 271, Jaen 166 (+1), Granada 274, Cordoba 104, Cadiz 142 , Seville 272 (+3) , Almeria 50, Huelva 47. In Seville there are 2,850 cases and 1,188 of those required hospitalization with 147 in intensive care. There have been 272 deaths while 1,584 have recovered.

In Huelva there are 510 cases, no new cases today, 219 have been hospitalized with 30 in intensive care. No new deaths were reported today, so the total stays at 47 people. The good news is 309 have recovered from the virus.
