The Partido Popular have won Ayamonte local elections getting 42.05% of the vote, an increase of 3.88% on 2015 results. It is not an overall majority as they have polled 10 seats just like PSOE. There are only 10 votes between first and second with PP polling 3853 while PSOE polled 3843The results for Ayamonte are as follows with 60.1% turnout:
9261 votes, 122 blank votes and 99 spoilt votes.

The number of seats has increased this year from 17 to 21, leaving an overall majority at 11 seats.

The question now is will the most voted party be allowed to govern as they will need to go into a coalition to have an overall majority. Dicussions between the parties will start on Monday. Adelante Ayamonte under leader Juan Jose Santana  Hernandez holds the key to who will be Mayor of Ayamonte.

The turnout for the 2019 elections was up 2.64% on the previous local elections, 60.10% compared to 57.46% in 2015.
