Juan Jose Santana Hernandez the elected councilor for Adelante Ayamonte announced today that the Assembly of Adelante Ayamonte would support the candidacy of Natalia Santos for Mayoress of Ayamonte.
He pointed out that after two weeks of intense debate they agreed to support PSOE so Natalia Santos could become Mayoress but that it was not a pact to be part of the government with them. They had agreed on several points that will be published on their website for the people of Ayamonte to view.
Juan Jose Santana also spoke about the offer from the PP to have a collation government in Ayamonte with 5 councilors from PSOE, 5 from PP and one from Adelante Ayamonte. He qualified the proposal of the outgoing Mayor Alberto Fernandez as not very serious as it was announced only 24 hours before Adelante Ayamonte press conference and not just after the elections.
Adelante Ayamonte were also quick to point out that the relationship between PSOE and Adelante Ayamonte in the last four years has been anything, but smooth and now PSOE would have to regain their trust. The continued collaboration of Adelante Ayamonte with the PSOE would be conditioned by their compliance to the terms agreed.
On Saturday 15th June Natalia Santos Mena will be elected Mayoress of Ayamonte and will be the first woman to hold the highest position in the Town Council.
